Laurel Fiddler
Laurel first came to yoga in an elementary school enrichment class and has been practicing ever since. Yoga has been integral to keeping her body healthy, nervous system nourished, and mental health balanced. Excited to share yoga’s benefits with others, Laurel completed her 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training at Laughing River Yoga in Burlington, Vermont in 2018. Her teachers, Sofi Dillof and Emily Garrett, taught an emphasis on Vinyasa flow and alignment, which continue to direct Laurel’s teaching style.
Laurel’s classes integrate breath with movement, while cultivating softness and options for modifications. It is important to her that yoga feels accessible to all bodies, ages, and experience levels. She hopes to embody this openness in her classes.
After growing up in the Eastern Sierra, Laurel is thrilled to be back after many years away. She is grateful for the opportunity to join the Sierra Shanti community and continue to explore and share her yoga practice with others. Laurel is in graduate school to be a mental health counselor and hopes to someday integrate yoga into her therapy practice.
